Studying at the Catholic University Institute of Buea, is all together a new experience. It is not like any other university in the Country. The curriculum takes into consideration, that you can always succeed in your chosen discipline, if you have passion for it.

The system is carefully planned, to give all the students time to assimilate, and also to blend theory with practice. We are an entrepreneurial university, and we have what it takes to make our students not job seekers, but job creators.Our recreational facilities are also phenomenological: a cozy campus; an ultra-modern restaurant for students; bus facilities to get students across our two campuses; an on-campus church; and access to sporting facilities.

The town of Buea lies on the southeastern slope of the mountain, and the port of Limbe (formerly Victoria) with its beautiful Beaches, lies at its southern foot. The side of the mountain facing the sea has a mean annual precipitation level of more than 400 inches (10,000 mm) and is one of the wettest places in the world. The mountain’s rich volcanic soils support bananas, rubber, oil palms, tea, and cacao; valleys are used as pasture.
